Description
Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League is looking for a Human Resources Officer to support its Human Resources operations at the bet365 Stadium and our Training Ground Facility at Clayton Wood in Trent Vale.
Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Officer the successful applicant will be responsible for administration and execution of the full employee life cycle through attraction, recruitment, onboarding, retention, development, offboarding and leavers. You will be a point of contact for all Club HR matters, working in conjunction with the Human Resources Business Partner and Senior Human Resources Officer to provide a comprehensive HR service which ensures that all employees, workers and volunteers are equipped with relevant policies, processes, practices and systems in order to foster a high-performance culture.

Main Responsibilities:
• Supporting managers with recruitment and selection processes
• Drafting and issuing offer letters and contracts of employment
• Onboarding new starters including background checking, delivering inductions and completion of paperwork.
• Creating and updating employee records on the HR Information System.
• Processing leavers.
• Note taking and supporting formal ER meetings, e.g. Capability, Disciplinary, Grievance and Flexible Working, ensuring adherence to correct processes and policies.
• Gathering and analysing data for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) purposes.
• Implementing HR policies and procedures as well as providing procedural advice to employees and management.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• Proven track record as a HR generalist, ideally within an elite sporting or football environment.
• Good understanding of HR legislation.
• Practical knowledge of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
• Familiarity with background checking and employee vetting requirements.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters in a professional and discreet manner.
• Dedication to underpin the Club's commitment to EDI and Safeguarding.
The position will be offered on a full time basis. Full UK driving licence preferred.
