What is the role?
This role will work as an integral part of the Football Club’s Hospitality and C+E Sales team as we look to grow our revenue and maximise the use of our venues. Working on both football and non-football products, the candidate should gain full understanding of the clubs portfolio of products and understand how to bring these into conversations with prospective clients.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible proactively out bounding potential clients on a daily basis, building relationships and spotting opportunities to sell and upsell to maximise our revenue, along with responding to and converting all inbound enquiries in a timely and professional manner, recognising up-sale opportunities.
This role also involves developing leads through research, outbound calls and build a sales funnel, with a targeted potential customer base, and converting to deliver and exceed the budget for the month and year. A pro-active and relentless attitude and work ethic on outbound call campaigns on the phone is expected whilst also being confident in face-to-face meetings to source new clients whilst also looking at opportunities and building relationships with existing ones.
You will be required to attend matchdays, building relationships with customers, and ensure they feel valued by the football club. You will ensure that that any new customers are personally welcomed to our venue and you will be the face for hospitality and C+E of the football club and will have the confidence to hold audiences, be engaging and interested, and ensuring customers feel special on a match day and non-match day.
Other duties include:
- Proactively selling special events put on by the club
- Ensuring all KPIs and targets are met on a monthly basis and exceed where possible
- Having a hands on approach in the organization of all activities from setting up match days to overseeing events
- Maintaining complete knowledge of all Non-matchday, matchday hospitality and seasonal products to maximise sales opportunities
- Weekly expectation of calls and connections as agreed upon
- Exploring new methods of sales
- Building a local network of contacts – so that we can offer access to events, and opportunities money can’t buy
- Efficient use of in-house database and CRM system ensuring customer information and contact is updated and recorded at all times

They will take a common-sense approach to match client’s requirements with the relevant product. Essential Skills and Experience:
- At least 1 year of sales experience with a track record of exceeding sales targets
- Experience of working in a proactive sales environment is desirable
- Exceptional communication skills, both on the phone and face to face
- Must be pro-active with their sales approach, self-motivated and driven to meet targets
- A common sense approach to match clients requirements with the relevant product
- Efficient and organised with excellent time management skills, working to tight deadlines
- Flexible to the requirements of the job, including working hours and areas of focus
- A passion for exceptional customer service and satisfaction
