We are a football club with a desire to be the best and are always looking for talented people to join our Everton Family.
Everton is a workplace people crave to join, where extraordinary talented people belong, thrive and deliver the remarkable.
Head of Emerging Talent
Who we are:
We are Everton Football Club and we are icons of world football. As one of the bastions of the global game, with a rich and successful history, we are now setting our sights on a new, exciting future.
With a proud and illustrious past, the Club is current embarking on a new and exciting journey with the construction of our new stadium on the banks of the River Mersey. With that exciting development comes an ambition to have a Men’s and Women’s First Team squad that is competing regularly at the top of domestic and European football.
Our values underpin how we behave, how we represent our club in our city, and across the world of football, and how we look after one another daily. They provide a framework for how we work with partners, suppliers, and most importantly our fans.
About the opportunity:
For decades, our Club has been one of the most respected and renowned in football. Its vision to develop young players who are technically and tactically capable of playing for Everton’s Men’s First Team, or having a career in the professional game, remains as focused as ever.
We now have an extremely exciting new opportunity for a strategic and dynamic leader to join us as Head of Emerging Talent.
As Head of Emerging Talent you will work closely with our Director of Football, Academy Director, Head of Recruitment, Manager of Scouting & Operations and Head of Academy Recruitment to establish, maintain and analyse a comprehensive and effective strategy, focused on identifying and recruiting exceptional players within the emerging talent bracket (players aged 16-19 with first team potential).
Using your expertise, you will service Men’s First Team succession planning as well as the U18-U21 age group, establishing and implementing a coverage strategy within the appropriate markets; monitoring, scrutinising and evolving post-implementation.
You will build positive relationships not only across the Everton Family but also externally, to ensure we are recruiting the very best players.
Who we are looking for:
Essentially, we are looking for a confident leader who has vast experience of Talent ID; as well as developing, implementing and executing recruitment strategies.
You will be confident in communicating with all stakeholders; while leading the development and implementation of recruitment strategies across the Club. This role will provide opportunity to demonstrate the importance of Talent ID within a performance environment and how it is able to support an exciting future for our football club.
If you feel you are the person we are looking for, someone who would be able to drive, implement and evolve the Talent ID strategy, then we would love to hear from you!
The role is permanent and will involve hybrid working; this will be between our Finch Farm training ground in Liverpool (Halewood), operating from home & travelling across the UK, in order to spot top talent; working 40 hours per week.
