Job Title: Head of Analysis
Department: First Team
Reports to: Head Coach/Technical Director

Job Purpose

To lead the Analysis Department and provide valuable insights and data driven solutions to enhance player and team performance.

Job Responsibilities
1. Build an Analysis Department that optimises the individual and collective performance of the players through data and insight.
2. Create, review, and refine data, administration, and communication processes for the department, ensuring an effective and efficient service is being run.
3. Develop and implement systems and processes for the collection, organisation, and storage of performance data, including match footage, tracking data, and statistical metrics. Ensure data integrity and accuracy for reliable analysis and reporting.
4. Lead the analysis of team performance during matches, providing detailed insights into tactical patterns, strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with coaching staff to develop game plans and strategies based on analysis findings.
5. Coordinate the scouting and analysis of upcoming opponents, identifying relevant insights to inform pre-match preparation and game strategies.
6. Oversee the analysis of training sessions to evaluate player performance, fitness levels, and adherence to the intended game model. Provide feedback to coaching staff on training effectiveness and individual player development needs.
7. Collaborate closely with the coaching staff and other relevant departments to integrate analysis and insights into overall team strategies and player development plans.
8. Manage and mentor the staff within the department, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their capabilities.
9. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the department.
10. Stay abreast of advancements in performance analysis technology and tools, integrating new systems and software to enhance analysis capabilities and improve workflow efficiency.

Qualifications 
Degree in a relevant field (Essential)

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Experience of working in a competitive sporting environment (Essential)
Knowledge of a range of software including Sportscode, Hudl, Wyscout (Essential)
Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team setting (Essential)
Ability to communicate to and work effectively with players, coaches and senior staff (Essential)
Experience working as Head of Analyst in elite sport (Desirable)
Experience of working abroad and with different cultures (Desirable)
Multi-lingual (English, Arabic or mix thereof) (Desirable)
