Job SummaryTo lead and manage the Physiotherapy service at the Academy (Professional & Junior) under appropriate governance and will deliver a high standard of physiotherapy service to players within the academy programmed.
Responsibilities
- To oversee and manage the 4 part-time physiotherapists at AL Jazira academy.
- Design and deliver evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation programs for all injured academy players.
- Organize rotations to ensure that all training sessions and fixtures across the whole Academy program are covered appropriately.
- Manage the medical cover for all Academy teams on a weekly basis and monitor and manage Academy players’ injuries.
- To ensure that appropriate and comprehensive medical notes are completed for all players within the academy.
- To ensure that coaching staff are made aware of all injuries sustained by players and the progress of such players at appropriate stages.
- Carry out administrative duties with the academy doctor in keeping with the role - such as organisation of medical screenings.
- Organise and attend consultations/imaging appointments with academy players where needed.
- To attend evening academy training sessions and matches as appropriate, to provide on-site physiotherapy and emergency pitch-side care.
- Educate Al Jazira Academy players in injury prevention, injury care, and post-match and training recovery strategies.
- Attend courses for Continued Professional Development.
- To mentor and provide clinical support and guidance to the part-time medical staff, ensuring they meet the required standards set at Al Jazira Club at all times.
- Regularly communicate with the academy doctor on the status and progress of injured players within the academy.
- Liaise regularly with Head of physiotherapy on the functioning of the academy physiotherapy department.
- To act at all times in a manner appropriate to a representative of Al Jazira Club
- To ensure that all players in your charge also act in an appropriate fashion and in accordance with Al Jazira Club's Academy Codes of Conduct.

Experience & Qualifications:
- BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy
- 6 years minimum physiotherapy experience in sport preferably in football
- Sports first aid certification
- Excellent English, be able to communicate to the highest level.
- Have a flexible approach to work.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Demonstrates honesty, integrity, reliability and the ability to ensure confidentiality at all time.
- Friendly, well organized with the ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.
- Possess strong time management skills and have a flexible approach to work
