Goalkeeper Coach/Assistant Coach to join our coaching team.
Job PurposeThe Goalkeeper Coach/Assistant Coach will be responsible for developing and enhancing the performance of goalkeepers across the first team and supporting the Head Coach in all aspects of team management, match preparation, and training implementation. This role requires a collaborative, innovative, and highly professional individual dedicated to fostering player development and contributing to the club’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Goalkeeper Coaching:
- Design and deliver tailored training sessions to improve technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of goalkeeper performance.
- Develop individualised training plans for goalkeepers based on performance analysis and individual needs.
- Provide technical feedback and performance analysis to enhance match readiness.
- Monitor goalkeepers' fitness levels in coordination with the medical and sports science teams.
- Assistant Coach Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Coach in planning and conducting team training sessions.
- Assist in matchday preparation, including tactics, strategy, and opponent analysis.
- Contribute to player performance reviews and individual development plans.
- Lead team meetings and tactical discussions when necessary.
- Represent the club’s coaching team in media or public relations engagements as required.
Requirements
- Coaching Qualification:
- Minimum UEFA Goalkeeping B License (UEFA B Licence highly desirable).
- Experience:
- Proven track record of coaching goalkeepers at a competitive level.
- Experience in a dual role (coaching and management) is an advantage.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of goalkeeper-specific training methodologies.
- Strong understanding of tactical systems and match strategies.
- Ability to utilise performance analysis tools effectively.
- Personal Attributes:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and motivational abilities.
- Highly organized, with effective time-management skills.
- Proactive and adaptable to changing circumstances.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with the Kansallinen Liiga and women’s football development.
- Previous experience working in a multicultural team environment.
- Finnish or Swedish language skills are advantageous but not essential.
Contract Details
- Duration: February to October (1 season)
- Salary: 2,700 euro per month
- Free travel to mainland
