The New Saints FC are looking to recruit a full-time goalkeeper coach to work with the first team, scholars and academy teams.


The successful candidate will be expected to deliver training sessions during the daytime and evenings, as well as attending matches on both Saturdays and Sundays.

for an eight season period and achieving the World Record of consecutive wins, whilst competing in UEFA Competitions every year for the past 20 years, creating a club

respectively in order to implement our vision. The ultimate aim is to be successful on the UEFA stage by qualifying and progressing to the group stages of a UEFA Club
Competition, whilst developing players of real value on the football transfer market or to fully utilise within our club in order to fulfil our vision and ambition

Job Title: Senior Goalkeeping Coach
Reporting to: First Team Head Coach/Assistant First Team Head of Coaching

Overall Purpose of Job:
• This is an exciting role influencing goalkeepers across the whole club working with the Men’s first team and in the Academy from Under 12 to Under 19. `You will be required to
be flexible to meet the demands of the role, with weekend working an essential requirement.
• Provide coaching and expertise through training sessions and support goalkeepers on matchdays.

Main Responsibilities/Description of Duties:

Men’s First Team and Scholars
• Prepare Goalkeepers as directed by first team staff for matchdays by providing high quality training sessions, including Under 21 and 19’s Goalkeepers.
• Be required to attend all home and away domestic and UEFA fixtures.
• Be responsible for warmups on matchdays.
• Provide Goalkeeping support to Under 19’s scholar’s group for 2 afternoons per week.
• Utilise technology available to sit down with Goalkeepers and analyse performance and put together development plans.
• Offer opinions to first team staff on current Goalkeepers and identify successors for
future recruitment.

Academy
• Provide coaching to various age group goalkeepers.
• Provide matchday support for Goalkeepers from Under 12’s to Under 19’s and be required to attend all Sunday home fixtures (25-30) , as per the academy audit requirements seen below:

The following persons must be present for every team training and game contact:
- A Head Coach
- An Assistant Coach
- A Goalkeeping Coach
- A person providing Sport Science provision or person providing Performance Analysis as per
- A person providing Medical/Physiotherapy provision.
• Provide feedback to Goalkeepers on performance and suggest improvements, as appropriate.
• Provide information and opinions so that IDP’s can be completed.

General
• Undertake personal CPD as appropriate to meet the demands of the role and maintain professional standards.
• Always maintain discretion and confidentiality.
• Undertake all reasonable tasks assigned to you.
• To always adhere to Club policies and standards.
• Create and develop relationships with staff, coaches, players and the Club’s Senior Management team and Board of Directors.
• The role is subject to a three-month probationary period.

Skills and experience required
• Strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of personal motivation and excellent levels of communication.
• Relevant experience of sports administration at a football club or within a sporting governing body.
• Experience of working to tight deadlines and being able to prioritise workload.
• A good level of verbal and written communication when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent IT skills and a high proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently using own initiative.
• Appreciation of the discretion needed when dealing with sensitive and highly confidential information.
• A confident decision-maker.
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with staff at all levels, with absolute discretion.
• Dedicated to self-improvement and continuous professional development.
• Willing to follow and promote the philosophy of the Club.
• Personable and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic.
• Good team player who can work on own initiative.
• Must have outstanding leadership qualities and an understanding of good discipline protocol.

Qualifications required
• Recognised UEFA Goalkeeping Qualification, minimum of UEFA B.
• Valid enhanced DBS check.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• This position will require weekend and evening working for match days.
• The position will be subject to an end of season review
