We are excited to be searching for a bank of Goalkeeping Talent Reporter(s) to join our Women's Pathway team on a casual basis.

Aim of the role:

  • To assist with the identification of Goalkeepers for England Women's Teams through a variety of live and video observations.

  • To enhance our understanding of current England Goalkeepers for England Women's Teams through a variety of live and video observations.

  • To produce clear and accurate reports on prospective and current England Goalkeepers, in line with the Women's Technical Directorate talent reporting framework.

  • To attend regional and national CPD events where possible.

  • Executes additional tasks as required to meet FA Group's changing priorities.

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and well-being can be maintained.

  • As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.


What You'll Need?

Essential for the role:

  • Passion and deep knowledge of goalkeeping characteristics across the 4 corners.

  • Excellent availability either midweek or weekend (Sundays and Wednesdays/Saturdays as main working days)

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of talent identification and evaluation of talent.

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Women's football and an understanding of the performance benchmarks of England goalkeepers.

  • Experience in scouting from video and live games.

  • Knowledge of player development milestones and associated challenges on female player's developmental journey.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.

  • Understanding of your local ‘talent hotspots' for women's football.

  • FA Safeguarding Certificate.

  • Clean driving licence.

  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.

  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)

  • Communication skills (formal and informal)


Beneficial to also have:

  • Understanding of the different demands of international football versus club football.

  • FA Talent ID Level 2 qualification.

  • FA Goalkeeping Coaching Qualification.

  • Experience coaching in an elite environment.

  • Playing Experience.


Please note, due to a conflict of interest, you will be unable to apply for this position if you are currently / or expecting to be in one of the below roles upon commencement:

  • A technical Role at a Tier 1 or Tier 2 club,

  • A technical Role at another National Governing Body,

  • Working specifically in a TiD role for ANY women's club,

  • You play at a WSL or WC club,

  • You work as a football agent or work for a football agency,

  • You work for a private company or organisation that provides TiD intelligence to clubs, agents or other nations.
