Purpose:
To lead our U14 Girls Academy team. The role involves leading, planning, delivering and reviewing training sessions alongside preparing players and the team for competition. The head coach will be responsible for delivering the academy curriculum and completing documentation related to monitoring player development. The head coach will be expected to co-coach and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and will have leadership responsibility for the U14 team coaches.
Role specific accountabilities:
- To prepare, deliver and review training sessions and games.
- Implement club methodology within our player development curriculum.
- Completion and delivery of club player assessment and feedback processes to monitor player progression.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
- Relationship management with players and guardians.
- Create a positive learning environment for players.
- Role specific knowledge, skills and experience:
Essential:
- Masters qualification in sport related subject / A Licence certificate in coaching football
- Min 3yrs teaching experience
- Experience of leading elite level female youth football programmes
- Experience of coaching roles in elite level female youth teams
- Excellent communication skills, able to build and maintain relationships
- Current FA safeguarding certificate
- Knowledge of the girl’s and women’s game
- High level of organisational skills
