We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Girls Football Academy Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our academy, manage our team of coaches, and develop the next generation of female football stars.
Role Overview:
The Girls Football Academy Manager will be responsible for the strategic development and operational management of the academy, ensuring a high standard of coaching, player development, and academy growth. You will work closely with players, coaches, and senior management to drive performance, promote participation, and maintain the academy’s positive reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the delivery of coaching programmes for players within the academy, ensuring sessions are engaging, educational, and aligned with best practices.
Manage a team of coaches and support staff, including recruitment, training, and volunteers.
Coordinate and deliver a pathway for talented players to progress into higher levels of football, including our senior team or professional clubs.
Maintain strong relationships with parents, schools, and community partners to enhance the academy’s presence and impact.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safeguarding protocols.
Manage the academy’s budget, ensuring resources are used effectively and efficiently.
Track performance and success metrics, regularly reporting to senior management.
Develop and maintain a positive club culture, promoting teamwork, respect, and discipline both on and off the pitch.
Organise and manage competitive matches, tournaments, and friendly fixtures.
Lead recruitment efforts for new talent, scouting and identifying potential players/coaches to join the academy.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a football coaching or management role, preferably within a female football academy or development programme.
FA Level 2 Coaching Qualification (or higher) is essential; additional coaching badges or qualifications are a plus.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
A deep understanding of player development and the female football landscape.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
A passion for girls football and a genuine desire to support the growth of the game at the grassroots level.
Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.
A current DBS check and safeguarding qualifications are essential (or must be willing to obtain).
A valid UK driving licence and access to transport for travel to away games and events.
Desirable:
UEFA Coaching qualifications or equivalent.
Experience working with young players at different developmental stages.
A large network within the female footballing community.
