Foundation Coach – Football & Education Programme
(30h Contract)In this role, you will be responsible for leading the football side of the programme, providing the student athletes with the opportunity to train and compete on a full-time basis. You will lead all training sessions and match days throughout the season, and so must be an accomplished deliverer, ideally with previous experience of coaching this age group. You will need a flexible attitude to working hours and strong administration skills in order to complete all aspects of the role. These include but are not limited to:
- Planning and implementation of a developmental coaching syllabus;
- Supporting individuals towards academic and performance-based outcomes;
- Leading the Raynes Park coaching team to achieve wider programme objectives;
- Programme development and succession planning;
- Student athlete recruitment;
- Monitoring and evaluating the programmes impact on its participants;
- Maintaining strong relationships with school staff.
In addition to the football component of the role, you will be responsible for supporting student athletes in their wider studies, ensuring academic progress towards target grades. This will include implementing a behaviour management system that will support the student’s athletes to succeed both on the pitch, and in the classroom.
Candidates must have the following qualifications (in date) and experience, as a minimum:
- FA Level 2/UEFA C Football Coaching Qualification
- FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
- FA First Aid Certificate
- Working with young people in an educational environment
