Football & Education Community Coach 


Salary: £15,600 per annum


Location: Whitmore High School, Cedars Community Centre and other venues as determined by the needs of the role.


Hours: 25 per week


Contract type: Fixed term, 12 months


Closing date: 1st December

Summary of Your Role


Are you a player focused and motivated person looking to join our Harrow based BTEC programme at Whitmore High School?


For 20 hours per week, you will be responsible for supporting the Trust’s Football Development Manager with the day-to-day organisation and coaching/match day delivery of the Whitmore High School Football and Education Scheme, in partnership with staff from the school.


For 5 hours a week, you will deliver on the Harrow Player Development Centre programmes, Harrow Skills Centres (term time) and delivering on holiday camps, during school holidays.


Your Roles and Responsibilities, but Not Limited To





  1. Support the Football Development Manager (Whitmore) with the day-to-day running of the scheme.




  2. Splitting time between coaching delivery, managing a team and supporting in the recruitment of students for following academic years.




  3. To ensure that students adhere to Whitmore High School and the Trust’s Code of Conduct for the programme and that attendance doesn’t fall below the school’s recommended levels.




  4. Monitor and assess the players’ performances in the squad both in training and on match days.




  5. Coaching delivery for five hours per week, as part of the team for the Harrow Player Development Centre (Monday evenings) and Harrow Skills Centre (Tuesday evenings).




You Must Have





  1. UEFA C licence qualification/Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football




  2. Valid in date FA Safeguarding & First Aid Certificates.




  3. A full and valid UK Driving License as well as access to a vehicle.




  4. Hold a current or undertake a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check with the Trust.




  5. Understanding of the Trust commitment to EDI & Safeguarding.




You would ideally have, but not vital





  1. Hold a D1 licence category.
