An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspiring and motivated Football Development Officer to join Fulham Football Club Foundation, with responsibility for developing, coordinating and delivering our participation-based football and sport programmes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing our current programmes, aimed at children aged between 3 and 14 years. The Football Development Officer will manage and develop our Holiday Soccer Schools, whilst also supporting our Saturday Skills Clubs and our work within school-based environments. In line with our Equity, Diversity and Belonging Action plan, you will develop activities that are inclusive of all young people and provide benefit to the entire community.
The Officer will play a key role in ensuring all activities run as planned and to the highest quality standard. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with partners and for ensuring the highest level of customer service is provided at all times.
Our coaching workforce are at the centre of our programme delivery, and we aspire to create an excellent work environment for our coaches. In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting and coordinating coaches, providing ongoing support and training and ensuring that our coaches feel connected to our mission of ‘building better lives through sport.’
Outstanding organisational skills are required to ensure that resources are used efficiently and in line with budget and exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. You must be confident in dealing with challenges that arise and taking responsibility for finding solutions.
You will be a leader and role model within the team, both in terms of your personal conduct and your skills and knowledge.
The following qualifications, skills and experience are essential:
- A minimum FA Level 1 Award (FA Level 2 Award preferred)
- FA Safeguarding certificate
- FA First Aid certificate
- Experience of coordinating inclusive sports activities
- Experience of managing a budget
