Location: AFC Bournemouth Performance Centre, Wimborne

 

Description To provide scouting coverage of designated regions and leagues through video observation, in order to provide AFC Bournemouth with potential future targets for recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient assessments of all players that are assigned to you by the Head of Recruitment Operations and Head of Scouting
  • Be proactive and resourceful in looking for high potential players within your designated regions
  • Support the observation of international youth tournaments and fixtures as assigned by the Head of Recruitment Operations or Head of Scouting
  • Play a supporting role in providing live assessments of emerging talents in the Domestic region
  • Complete and add reports to the club scouting platform in an efficient manner
  • Compile video clips to highlight the Strengths, Areas for Development and Considerations for any player on a Shortlist recommendation and above from within your allocated regions
  • Support the cross referencing of players of interest across regions outside of your own
  • Ensure that relevant targets are identified and elevated efficiently, and up-to-date positional shortlists are maintained
  • Undertake research and provide market insights that can contribute to final dossiers on targeted players
  • Develop strong relationships with counterparts in regions outside of your own to allow efficient information sharing across the department
  • Contribute positively within individual and group recruitment meetings
  • Maintain and develop a network of contacts that can support the identification and recruitment of targeted players

  • Expertise in identifying talent across different markets and levels through video observation
  • Excellent knowledge of internal players and the level of the Premier League
  • Be computer literate and proficient in the use of appropriate platforms and video software such as Wyscout, Scoutastic, Hudl and Sportscode
  • Show an understanding of the transfer market and associated regulations

Desired

  • Have held a Scouting & Recruitment role at an elite club, within the defined region
  • Completed the FA Talent ID Level 3 or Above
