The Role of the First Team Set-Piece Analyst

The successful candidate will extensively analyse and review set-pieces whilst working alongside Club Coaches and Analysts

Main Accountabilities

• Produce all pre-match and post-match set-piece reports and presentations using both video and data.


• Maintain and update set-piece databases.


• Analyse training sessions and provide clips for relevant staff.


• Assist Coaches in training sessions using Trackman.


• Create and maintain penalty databases.


• Attend fixtures to provide set-piece support and information.


• Complete other tasks as requested by the Head of Analysis & Coaching department.

Person Specification - Essential Personal Characteristics

• Experience working in First Team Football.


• Experience using Analysis related software’s (Angles, RT Tactic Pro or similar)


• Highly analytical and high level of attention to detail.


• Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines.


• Ability to work unsociable hours as required involving work outside normal office hours, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.


• Must be able to travel regularly and abroad.


• Effective at preparing, planning and implementing workloads and schedules.


• A dynamic, hardworking and enthusiastic individual.


• Proactive decision maker with excellent communication skills.


• Understands Health & Safety principles and practices.

Person Specification - Desirable Characteristics

• Masters in a Performance Analysis / Sports Science discipline


• Coaching experience / qualifications
