JOB DESCRIPTION
Job title: First Team Physiotherapist

Contractual status: Permanent
Hours of work: Full time: 40 hours per week which will include evenings and weekends to support the match day and training programme

Salary range: Competitive dependent on experience
Location: Gardyne Campus Training Centre

Reporting to: Dr Derek McCormack

Job Summary:
As Physiotherapist, you will be expected to:

Provide an evidence-based quality of care, treatment and rehabilitation of injured players, primarily first team.
Provide key information to the senior staff within the department (including, but not exclusive to injury audits, equipment audits, rationale for new equipment, MSK data collection, daily availability and injured player status).
Maintain accurate records of injuries and medical interventions.
Work closely with sports science and strength and conditioning staff to ensure a performance rehabilitation approach is adopted within the rehabilitation of all players.
In conjunction with other members of the performance team contribute to the development of processes and strategies that promote maximizing player availability and performance.
Work closely with the performance team to develop strategies to reduce injury risk.
Work closely with the performance team to develop individualized programmes for players to minimize injury risk and maximise player availability.

CRITERIA

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL

Degree in Physiotherapy.
HCPC registration.
Member of the CSP.
DESIRABLE

Pitch side emergency care course completion.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

ESSENTIAL

Experience of working within an elite football environment.

PERSONAL QUALITIES

ESSENTIAL

Attention to detail.
Time management skills to be able to plan and regulate workload including the ability to prioritise demands and thrive under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Outgoing.
Ability to work within a team and foster good working relationships.
Willingness to have a full DBS check.
