The Role

We are looking for a First Team Assistant Coach to play a vital role in assisting our First Team Head Coach for our Women's First Team.

In this exciting position, you'll be a critical part of our mission to run a world leading football programme that strives to fulfil our individual player potential and produces world leading players with good characters that is the best in the world at teamwork.

Your day-to-day

  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team - you will unite with a diverse range of specialists whilst assisting our Head Coach with the preparation and delivery of a world-class football programme

  • Evolve our training programme - you'll relish the opportunity to support with the development of our training programme, bringing new football ideas and a fresh perspective to the fore

  • Oversee the individual development of players - you will take pride in being responsible for the creation and management of individual player development plans

  • Provide crucial analysis - you'll diligently analyse training sessions and matches from an individual player perspective and actively find ways to refine a programme and culture that develops our individual player development, through exercises and meetings, to a world-class level

  • Build impactful relationships with our players - you'll proactively develop leadership qualities to help unlock player potential and maximise player performance

  • Assist with pre-season preparation - you will support the multi-disciplinary team with the preparation and execution of pre-season programmes to help set us up for success for the forthcoming season

  • Partner with our Head of Player Development - you'll work closely with our Head of Player Development to ensure effective knowledge of the best young players coming through our U16 and U21 age groups and support with the smooth integration of Academy players into the First Team environment

  • Act as a proud ambassador for our club - you will strive to help instil our ethos and culture and you'll operate with the utmost confidentiality and discretion in respect of any information relating to our club


This role requires flexibility in regards to working hours and will require you to attend all fixtures, including UK and international travel.

What we are looking for

  • Proven track record in professional coaching - you come with a successful and verifiable record of coaching elite teams and world-class players in a professional/high performance environment

  • Credible expertise - you proudly hold a UEFA A License and ideally a UEFA Pro Licence

  • Certifications in Safeguarding and First Aid - you've got up to date certificates in Safeguarding Children and FA Emergency Aid

  • Dynamic communicator - you're an inspiring and confident communicator and you are able to adapt your style and approach as and when required

  • Best-in-class attention to detail - you're equipped with exceptional organisational skills and you're able to work at pace without compromising quality or accuracy

  • Excellent relationship building skills - you thrive when you're building and maintaining effective relationships and you easily connect with players as well as a range of colleagues

  • Growth mindset - you have the courage to challenge colleagues and the confidence to articulately and respectively give your opinion to help uncover fresh ideas and approaches
