Exclusive to Jobs4footballTo assist the Head Coach with all aspects of leading the Men's First Team in the Icelandic first tier (Besta Deildin), providing education, guidance, and inspiration to help players achieve their long-term objectives in line with the club's Performance Plan, while demonstrating a strong understanding of match and opposition analysis.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver high-quality coaching relevant to the Men's First Team players, educating them in line with the club's philosophy and methodology as outlined in the Performance Plan and help improve the training culture at Vestri Men's team.
- Lead by example in ensuring all players live by the Club's Values as we develop better people as well as players within the Vestri men's Football Club.
- To maintain and keep good standards in relation to the first team Head Coach training rules.
- Adhere to the Vestri Coaches Codes of Conduct at all times.
- Lead and/or support Coaches both in training and matchdays (Saturday and/or Sunday).
- Complete first team's post-match analysis after each match and finish a video presentation for players.
- Complete and submit all session plans, including session objectives and post-session evaluation, timeously and to a high standard in relation to the Vestri first team Men's Head Coach.
- To develop and maintain a professional relationship with the relevant staff and players, including regular communication of training and matchday information.
- To give feedback to the Head Coach during games and in training sessions.
- To take responsibility for the care and maintenance of all training equipment.
- To assess trialists at both training and games and provide feedback to the First Team Head Coach.
- To assist with Physical Performance input where required at training sessions.
- To attend all tournaments and trips when requested by the club or Head Coach.
- To maintain a good and close working relationship with the Head Coach.
- To upload all data from GPS pods after each training and game.
- To assist and/or give feedback on set pieces.
