Job Title: Events & Partnership Engagement Officer

Salary: £28,000 per annum dependent on experience + bonus scheme

Hours of Work: You will be expected to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, excluding lunch breaks. The role will include matchdays and some evening and weekend unsociable hours. 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

Location: Blackburn Rovers Football Club, Ewood Park, Blackburn, BB2 4JF.

Responsible To: Head of Operations and Executive Management Team

Contractual Status: Full Time – Permanent

Overall purpose of the Job:

•To raise the image of Blackburn Rovers FC, Blackburn Rovers Women FC, and Blackburn Rovers Community Trust through event delivery

•To work closely with Blackburn Rovers FC staff to co-deliver a variety of events for the community.

•To provide a minimum of four major fundraising events alongside a variety of other small events to raise additional funds that Blackburn Rovers Community Trust can reinvest into the local community.

•To deliver the events programme to help raise awareness and funds.

•To set and work towards a yearly pre-agreed fundraising target which will be, as a minimum, double the roles annual remuneration (commensurate on experience)

•Ensure all events have clear, achievable outcomes and to take responsibility for ensuring those outcomes are met.

•Create and manage a corporate social responsibility (CSR) business network to identify sponsorship and partnership opportunities for various activities/events.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Project manage each event, ensuring that it is delivered to a continuously high standard, to pre-agreed targets and within budget.

•Increase brand awareness within the local community, increasing fan engagement from under representative groups.

•Work closely with other staff to improve the quality and impact of their events.

•Manage budgets for each event, efficiently logging all expenditure and producing financial reports as required.

•Accurately record event participation, fundraising income and supplier information

•Ensure all events receive significant internal and external media and PR coverage, working closely with BRCT’s Media Officer

•Handle cash and cheques as required, abiding by BRCT’s cashhandling procedures.

•Empower members of the public and community groups to undertake their own fundraising activities on behalf of Blackburn Rovers Community Trust.

•Work with supporters’ groups and Blackburn Rovers staff members, to enhance fan engagement on matchdays.

•Coordinate and manage volunteers to assist in the delivery of events as and when required, working closely with BRCT’s Volunteer Coordinator.

•Speak publicly and represent BRCT in a variety of community situations to improve relationships and exposure of BRCT and BRFC.

•Prepare and manage the documentation process for all Blackburn Rovers Community Trust events including Event Management Plans, Risk Assessments and third-party agreements.

•To work with the Club to deliver events in line with current licences and legislation.
