Leicester City Football Club are excited to be recruiting for a video scout to join our Academy’s Emerging Talent team, whose primary role will be analyzing match footage in order to identify prospects for the LCFC Academy with the ultimate goal of recruiting high-potential Academy players who will progress with the Club and achieve first team recognition. The Club are constantly seeking to be more efficient in identifying and engaging with young talent from across the country, and this position will play a substantial role in recruiting exciting new prospects for the Club’s future.

About The Role

The Club are constantly seeking to be more efficient in identifying and engaging with young talent from across the country, and this position will play a substantial role in recruiting exciting new prospects for the Club’s future.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have significant experience within an elite sporting environment, particularly in relation to talent identification, and be able to produce highly detailed reports and materials to support the presentation of potential players to the Club’s Academy Manager and Director of Football. In order to achieve this, the successful individual will have good instincts regarding talent identification, be highly organised and detail-oriented, and be confident in presenting to and liaising with senior leaders within the Club.

A significant element of the role will also include the analysis of current LCFC triallists, working collaboratively with the Club’s various age-group coaches, and developing assessment reports to gauge success.

The role will require some evening and weekend working, therefore any candidates applying should have a flexible and robust approach to the role.

Essential experience & qualifications include:

- A good knowledge of youth football and player recruitment.
- A good knowledge of the tactical and technical elements of football.
- Ability to integrate and work alongside the current Senior and Academy Recruitment Dept. at the club.
- Must be driven and enthusiastic whilst able to work within a team to attain the recruitment targets.

Desirable experience & qualifications include:

- FA Talent Identification Qualifications.
- Knowledge of Sportscode or similar packages.
- Coaching qualifications.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
