Job Description

Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club (CRYSC) is a community soccer club, serving five regions in the state of

Colorado spanning from Fort Collins to Castle Rock, and over 14,000players, which provides opportunities for all levels of players from beginner to advanced, from three to professional. CRYSC is one of the few true full-service soccer clubs in the nation providing soccer for all types of players from all different types of backgrounds.

This position is responsible for the management, development, and delivery of the Elite Girls program. The role is pivotal to the further development of youth club talent as we work to provide a complete pathway for our female players and members from grassroots to college

This role is full-time and includes weekend and evening work, as well as travel domestically, with the candidate required to be flexible and adaptable to differing seasonal work patterns.

MAJOR OBJECTIVES:

  • Architecture – Utilization of the CRYSC curriculum and technical methodology to guide in the development of the female players in the elite pathway.

  • Develop a strategic approach to enhancing elite Girls provision at the club using the excellent resources the club offers for maximum impact.

  • Implementation – Support and implement the Player Development Plan, specific to the Girls Elite Program.

  • Lead & Manage - Lead the girls teams coaching staff and support services in the coordinated delivery of their elements in the program resulting in a cohesive and highly efficient team, and a positive working environment for all key stakeholders

  • Constant Revision and Review - Be continual in your evaluation of players, coach, ancillary staff, and self-performance with a view of supporting, growing, improving, and elevating the Girl's elite program to new high-performance levels on a regular basis

  • Culture – Serve as a key leader in creating a culture within the staff and coaches that results in the player and team experience we seek for every player in CRYSC.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree level education in Coaching or related Discipline

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with Elite youth athletes across multiple ages and stages of development.

  • Specific experience of working within an elite Girls development environment preferable

  • Experience of leading a program with multiple roles and responsibilities

  • Project Management experience preferable

  • Management of Full-Time staffing preferable

  • USSF A-License or Equivalent Industry Qualification

  • Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team working to support player development

  • Understands how a long-term, holistic development program is structured

  • Understands the function of each facet in a multi-disciplinary team in an Elite department

  • Experience and understanding of the College Placement Process in the Girls/Women’s game

  • Possesses a demonstrable knowledge of health and safety policy and best practice

  • Possesses a demonstrable knowledge of safeguarding policy and best practice

  • Joy in the Soccer Experience – a positive player experience is naturally different at each level of competition and age. Our goal as a club is for our players to love playing soccer and our soccer process should be consistent with this goal, which we believe is not mutually exclusive across competitive levels;

  • Retention and Satisfaction – a successful soccer process should result in improved retention across the club on an annual and longitudinal basis;

  • Playing Style – a successful soccer process should result in consistency in playing style across all levels and ages of the club, relative to the level of competition;

  • Consistency - Our soccer process should result in a consistent player experience across the entire club versus an environment where the player experience varies widely based on who the coach is of the player’s team.

  • Member Enjoyment – several factors are part of developing a club loved by its membership, consisting of players, staff, coaches, families, and partners. We believe the individual player and team experience is the single greatest factor that results in building the club our membership desires. A successful soccer process should result in an experience that engages players, staff, coaches, families, and partners as proud stakeholders of Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club.

  • Performance Outcomes - Fully implemented and effective elite Girls program utilizing all support services at the disposal of the directors.
