Job Summary

• To support the delivery of our range of education and employability programmes both in the classroom, in practical sessions and from an administrative point of view.
• You will work across 3 programmes – Sports College (16-18 year old BTEC L2/L3 learners), Sports School (year 9-11 Alternative Provision/Level 1 BTEC) and Training Ground (adult education for 16+: L2 Maths and Employability skills)

Main duties and responsibilities

• Establish rapport and respectful, trusting relationships with all learners, acting as a role model and setting high expectations to promote the general progress and wellbeing of individual learners
• Support the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, marking policies and tutoring strategies within the Education and Employability Department.
• Assess, develop and deliver creative resources and learning activities to support the varying personal, social and emotional aspects of learning
• To lead on the delivery of sessions for community groups at the Crown Oil Arena and across the borough of Rochdale.
• To identify and recruit participants.
• To develop relationships with local employers.
• To play an active part in the wider education and employability offer in Rochdale.
• Providing practical assistance to young leaders, coaches and volunteers in a mentor role.
• Provide regular and up to date registers and session reports.
• Have all relevant session paperwork up to date and available and every session.
• To act as an ambassador for Rochdale AFC Community Trust.
• Be aware of all the projects delivered by the Community Trust and pathway opportunities that exist.
• Use social media channels to highlight the work Rochdale AFC Community Trust delivers.
• Ensure all equipment is kept in a safe condition.
• Support the wider delivery team as and when necessary.
