MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (Play Your Part):
• To develop and manage the short, medium, and long-term EDI strategy for the club.
• Manage, co-ordinate and deliver the Club’s compliance and reporting requirements in respect of the Premier League Equality Diversity and Inclusion Standard (PLEDIS) and any other future football related standards or codes.
• Support the club in developing an inclusive and diverse culture through best practice.
• Business partner with the Executive and Senior Leadership team, working collaboratively with them to drive and implement their EDI plans
• Lead, facilitate and coordinate the EDI working and advisory groups with a cross section of club departments to advocate and promote EDI internally and externally
• Ensure all departments are considering EDI in their work, e.g. with partners, third-party suppliers, accessibility of our media platforms, stadium and club facilities etc. and support with conducting EDI reviews.
• Advise and guide on complex employee relations case work related to EDI matters working in collaboration with the HR Advisors/HR Business Partners to track trends.
• Use monitoring data to analyse key trends and provide gap analysis across all key groups linking it back to the EDI strategy and EDI Delivery Plan.
• Use analysis to create projects and initiatives to support the club’s EDI agenda working in collaboration with other relevant departments e.g. Communications, Marketing and the Foundation.
• Work collaboratively with the learning and development team to create both club wide knowledge around EDI and bespoke awareness training.
• Lead on EDI reporting and progress to the Director of HR, Executive Leadership team and the Board.
• Oversee the EDI budget
• Liaise with the Premier League, FA, WSL and other appropriate organisations and represent the club at EDI meetings and discussion forums.
• Ensure the club is actively achieving external standards and charters e.g. Disability Confident, Living Wage Accreditation etc. and managing the relationships with our EDI partners/suppliers.
• Work with external experts and underrepresented groups associated with the club.
• Act as the club’s advocate for EDI across football and wider business sectors and ensure up to date knowledge on developing EDI trends.

• Achievement of other relevant standards, codes and kite marks
• Defined measurement of EDI objectives and KPIs
• Communication of EDI impact across the Club
• Demonstrable progress in embedding EDI into the values and culture of the club
• Increased confidence levels in employees on EDI matters and reporting.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications:
• CIPD or another relevant professional body qualification desirable
Experience:
Essential
• Proven subject matter expertise in equality, diversity and inclusion matters and a good understanding of EDI policies and best practices
• Experience of developing and implementing an EDI strategy
• Ability to work alongside and business partner key internal and external stakeholders and senior leadership up to C-Suite level
• Prior experience as a HR Business Partner with a key focus on EDI work desirable.
• Prior experience in handling employee relations case work desirable
• Ability to support colleagues at all levels around EDI and awareness and enabling multi-function collaboration.
• Proven experience of analysing and interpreting EDI data, with the ability to detect, examine and decode trends or patterns within intricate data sets
• Ability to lead, inspire and motivate colleagues at all levels
• Good commercial awareness, with effective influencing skills
• Highly capable in managing conflict and sensitive matters
• Naturally inquisitive, with the ability to constructively challenge where appropriate.
• Demonstrable experience in delivering and embedding EDI projects and initiatives and measuring the impact
• Ability to deal with change projects with personal confidence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to use all Microsoft Office packages.
• Excellent planning and organisation skills.
