Job Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic sports coaches to deliver a successful, inclusive Disability Sports programme across Palace for Life Foundation. You will join a team of skilled and dedicated coaches, making a real difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable yet inspiring south Londoners.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary of £16 per hour (new and less experienced coaches starting at £12 per hour with opportunity to quickly rise to our regular SEND rate of £16 per hour);

Job Description

As a sessional Disability Sports Coach you will:

  • Deliver high-quality football and multi-sport sessions within SEND and mainstream schools;

  • Deliver on SEND School Holiday programs that provide fun and interesting activities for young people with a Disability;

  • Support players by giving them every opportunity to access the relevant sporting sessions to assist with their personal development;

  • Opportunity to deliver our Disability Awareness programme for children in mainstream schools.


Job Requirements

As a successful candidate you will:

  • Have a passion for supporting children and young people with a disability in achieving their full potential;

  • Have experience working with people with a disability in sport and physical activity;

  • Be an FA qualified coach at Level 1 or above (or equivalent);

  • Be able to develop and maintain relationships with SEND schools and their staff, including head teachers, PE teachers and receptionists;

  • Ideally have experience working in SEND or mainstream schools;

  • Be reliable, organised, flexible, and willing to learn;

  • Be available for some evening, and/or holiday work;

  • Be able to travel to sites across south London.
