- The Department
The marketing department plays a central role in a variety of exciting and important projects at the club, working collaboratively with multiple departments on a daily basis to help achieve shared goals.
In recent months the team have created and rolled out the new club crest and brand, launched the club’s first ever Adidas kit and activated in Times Square, New York, during the club’s pre-season tour to the USA. No day is the same, with each one posing a new challenge to solve.
For the club to continue to make progress on the pitch, the commercial department must also take strides off the pitch, and therefore the marketing department are seeking to expand the team with a Digital Marketing Executive to help drive forward digital strategy.
- The Role
There is no better time to be part of Aston Villa Football Club. As the club embarks on its first UEFA Champions League campaign and enters into its 150th anniversary year, the marketing department is looking for a passionate and skilled Digital Marketing Executive to help drive the club forward in this exciting time.
You will be responsible for creating and executing digital marketing campaigns across all club channels to support commercial goals, as well as the development of the club’s CRM strategy and fan journeys to build towards a best-in-class digital fan experience. You will be hands-on with Aston Villa’s paid media channels, creating, deploying, and reporting on the success of campaigns.
- The Person
The ideal candidate will have demonstratable digital marketing experience including, but not limited to, working with CRM platforms, databases, content management systems and paid media. You will also have experience in creating lifecycle campaigns aimed at engaging consumers and driving acquisition and purchase, with an understanding of digital attribution and conversion tracking.
You will work individually and as part of a team, whilst building relationships across various club departments, and have strong communication skills which are clear, concise, and accurate to internal/external stake holders. You must also have the ability to work well under pressure, to meet deadlines, and multitask on multiple projects and priorities appropriately. You will also be creative with a keen eye for attention to detail with strong copywriting and analytical/research skills.
