Key Performance Indicators
• Effective management of the Club’s CRM database, including full compliance with Data Protection and GDPR legislation.
• Effective analysis of marketing activity to measure return on investment (ROI).
Role Specific Responsibilities
The post holder will be required to:
• Lead on data capture and analysis to provide detailed insights into our fans, prospective fans, and markets.
• Oversee the running of the Club’s CRM system, also helping other departments including Retail, Ticketing, Hospitality, Commercial, and Promotions to reach existing and prospective audiences.
• Work with the graphic design team to create exciting and informative communications and to work on creating and executing digital marketing campaigns.
• Plan and deliver multiple campaigns, managing the tool to ensure that communications are built to a high standard, and ensuring audience creation and performance analysis to test new marketing campaigns.
• Ensure that marketing activity can be tracked for return on investment (ROI) wherever possible with the use of CRM campaigns, and trackable links.
• Ensure electronic communication from the Club is consistent, targeted, and well-informed.
• Conduct market research through surveys and focus groups to gain qualitative feedback and insights; it will be necessary to work occasional match days to undertake surveys with supporters in real time and gain feedback to inform future strategies.
• Work with the Commercial team, using data as applicable to support sponsorship, partnership, and hospitality sales.
• Work closely with all members of the Marketing and Communications team and assist colleagues with other work as required.
• Support in implementing and introducing ‘single sign on’ through staff training and monitoring data accuracy.
• Lead the department with GDPR compliance, including ensuring that Privacy Notices are consistently up to date and fit for purpose, and undertaking data cleansing as required.
• Deliver ROI across advertising on social media platforms.
• Work with the Head of Marketing to analyse the effectiveness, impact, and outcomes of all marketing activity.
The post holder will also be required to undertake any other duties as requested by the Head of Marketing, the Marketing and Communications Director, and/or any other Senior Manager/Director.
