Fan Experience Analytics & Insights is a growing team that operates at the heart of the Integrated Fan Experience. We are a team of data, analytics and research experts that exists to help make Man City a data driven fan-centric organisation. In our team, we collect and analyse fan data to identify opportunities for improving the fan experience across all our fan products, online and offline touchpoints. In FXAI, you will find a young, sociable team and a culture that prioritises your well-being, learning and development.

You will leverage industry leading cloud-based data platform (built in house) that allows to benefit from the current state-of-the-art technology such as machine learning, AI or big data to analyse fan behavioural data.

The role of Data & Insights Analyst is focused on progressing our self-service analytics function for enabling on demand access to analytics and insights. You will discuss analytics requirements with different teams across Product and Fan Experience, and develop reports, dashboards and other no-code data products that enable users to derive insights from our data.

You will also be diving into transactional, engagement, and behavioural data using python code in Databricks to run more advanced analytics and data science projects, and present this back to key stakeholders.

You must be highly analytical, personable, communicative, and motivated to deliver actionable insights through data and visualisation software, with experience in managing projects through to completion. You will be working in a challenging and dynamic environment where your analysis will facilitate key business decisions and influence marketing strategies.

Your Impact

  1. Proactively work with different teams to identify data solutions we can develop to support the business, creating project plans

  2. Complete analytical projects using Python and Power BI, starting from the internal client's brief to the presentation of the learnings

  3. Build dashboards and develop data products to allow teams to dive into our fan experience data without coding

  4. Write Python code to create or amend data pipelines that feed into data products

  5. Collaborate with other data roles in project development and deliver


 

What we are looking for

Essential

  • · At least 1-3 years of experience in an analytical role deriving actionable business insights from data (more junior candidates may be considered if proven fit)

  •  · At least 1+ years’ experience building dashboards with visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)


Desirable

  • Experience with enterprise cloud services (especially Microsoft Azure)

  • Experience in Agile development methodologies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM/numerate field

  • Able to demonstrate the application of ‘Product Thinking’ to the delivery of analysis solutions
