About Stockport County
Founded in 1883, Stockport County are one of the country’s longest established football clubs. Initially formed as Heaton Norris Rovers, the Club officially became Stockport County in 1890 after the County Borough of Stockport and have been based at Edgeley Park since 1902.
The team currently competes in Sky Bet League One, the third tier of the English Football League, after winning the 2023–24 Sky Bet League Two title.
Role Overview
We are seeking a talented Creative Content Executive to join our dynamic marketing team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and execution of our visual and content strategy, contributing to the Club's overall brand identity and fan engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Content Creation:
o Work closely with the Digital Content Producer to develop engaging content for various platforms, including the club's website, social media channels and LED boards at Edgeley Park.
o Assist in the creation of video content, including but not limited to match content, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
o Utilise video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) to produce high-quality content.
• Design:
o Assist the Lead Designer in creating visually appealing and engaging design assets across the different areas of the Club such as First Team, Academy, Community Trust, Football Education, Training Ground and Edgeley Park Conference and Events.
o Working across digital (social, email, website) and print (small & large scale from posters to stadium signage.
o Ensure consistency with the club's brand guidelines and style.
o Utilise design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to produce high-quality materials.
• Brand Consistency:
o Ensure that all design and content assets align with the club's brand identity and messaging.
o Help to maintain a consistent brand voice across all channels.
• Collaboration:
o Work effectively with the Head of Marketing, Lead Designer, Digital Content Producer, and other team members to achieve project goals.
o Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential
• Strong design skills and proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Experience in video editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro)
• Available to work weekends (home and away matches)
• Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Creative and innovative thinking
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
• Passion for football and a strong understanding of the club's fan base
• Experience using a camera for videography
• Experience of working in a football/sporting setting
