Hull City Football Club are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Commercial Assistant to join our team based at the MKM Stadium in Hull.
As a Commercial Assistant you will play a pivotal role in communicating with Club partners, the playing squad and other internal departments. We are therefore looking for someone who has excellent customer service and clear communication skills, representing the Club in a professional manner either over the telephone, via email or face-to-face, to build and maintain strong relationships.

Salary: Depending on experience
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 per week (may be required to work home games on weekends, Bank Holidays and evenings)
Your key responsibilities
• Administration and delivery of all communication and collateral through the website / social media / emails / all digital channels
• Ensuring all data is kept up to date
• Accountancy for Club partners
• Assisting with the management of match day playlists across LED (Pitch & Crowd Facing), Big Screen, Programme, Concourse advertising
• Liaising with playing squad for signed merchandise
• Assisting with the creation of and management of partner’s artwork
• Delivering commercial match day activation / assisting with match day activities
• Supporting all areas of sponsorship and hospitality renewals and new sales efforts, assisting in commercial rights negotiations, activation possibilities and upsell opportunities.
• Developing leads and securing meetings with prospective partners through research, outbound calls and building an industry network and profile.
• Assisting with client appointment setting for Head of Commercial & Commercial Sales Manager
• Development of bespoke and tailored partnership and hospitality proposals to suit needs of individual companies.
• Closing partnership deals including negotiation of commercial terms and assisting in concluding contractual agreements.
• Supporting the sales team with generating revenue from a variety of sources.
• Delivering matchday hospitality sales through cold calling, prospecting and responding to inbound enquiries.
• Liaising and developing relationships with relevant media and sponsorship agencies.
• Maintaining accurate records and database of all sales and business development activity in the club’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
• Reporting on all aspects of the sales process to the sales team.
• Tracking weekly performance against agreed targets and managing the sales pipeline.

• Experience with delivering presentations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Comfortable with networking
• Ability to initiate and drive sales with limited hands-on guidance
• Able to work under pressure
• Strong IT skills utilising Microsoft Packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
• A person-oriented approach with the ability to build a good rapport
• Be able to manage and prioritise their own workload and time within the team environment
• Adaptability and willingness to work across projects with varying scope
