About the Role & Development Programme

The successful candidate will divide their time between:

  • Fulham Football Club Academy Coaching Employment, and

  • The Premier League Coach Development Programme (PLCDP)


This is a full-time role, forming part of the Coach Inclusion & Diversity Scheme (CIDS) for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons, delivered in partnership with the Premier League.

Purpose of the Scheme

The Coach Inclusion & Diversity Scheme (CIDS) aims to:

  • Increase the diversity of professional football coaches.

  • Better reflect the playing population and modern British society.

  • Provide a career-changing opportunity to individuals from under-represented backgrounds.


Open to applications from:

  • Male coaches from Black, Asian, or Mixed Heritage backgrounds

  • Female coaches from all backgrounds


What’s Involved?

At Fulham FC Academy:

  • Deliver, prepare, and review coaching programmes across development phases.

  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Attend training, matches, and tournaments (UK & Europe).

  • Engage in the Academy’s CPD programme.

  • Receive support from an internal Club mentor.


Through the Premier League Coach Development Programme:

  • Premier League mentorship and tailored support.

  • Self-directed projects.

  • External immersive learning experiences.

  • Peer workshops and networking.

  • Access to FA/UEFA coaching qualifications.

  • Completion leads to a Diploma in Professional Football Coaching (Leeds Beckett University).


Essential Criteria

  • UEFA B Licence

  • No prior full-time 1st Team or Academy role at a Premier League or EFL club.

  • FA Safeguarding Certificate, Emergency First Aid, and Enhanced DBS (must be obtained before starting).

  • Experience coaching in one or more of the following:

    • Grassroots

    • Community

    • Education

    • Development centres

    • Part-time academy football



  • Experience leading a team or group of players regularly.


Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with holistic youth development (within or beyond sport)

  • UEFA A Licence
