About The Role
- The assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of the U9-16 Academy players under the guidance of the current U9-16 Full-Time Academy Sports Therapist.
- Provide medical cover for injury clinics, training sessions and match-days for the U9-16s.
- Communicate effectively to the player, Academy Sports Therapists/ Physiotherapists, coaches and parents regarding updates on player’s injuries and return to play dates.
- To liaise with the Full- Time Academy Sports Therapist/ Physiotherapists/ Club Doctor/ Psychologist regarding referrals to GP’s, consultants, A&E where applicable.
- Maintain up to date notes about player’s injuries in line with professional governing body.
- Follow the club’s Emergency Action Plan (EAP) for training and games and ensure it’s communicated to coaching staff regularly.
- Work effectively as an MDT with other casual / part time staff such as sports science and strength and conditioning interns to ensure a multidisciplinary approach has been utilised for all players.
- Be committed to regularly undertake independent CPD and attend / contribute to in-house CPD.

About The CandidateQualificationsEssential:
- BSc / MSc degree in Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy
- Must have a full and in-date membership / registration with:
- Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or
- Society of Sports Therapists (SST)
- The FA Level 4 Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football (ITMMIF) Qualification, or equivalent.
ExperienceDesirable:
- Experience of working with athletes or paediatrics.
- Experience in the use of Kitman Labs.
