The Role

We are looking for a Part-time Grassroots Scouts on a casual basis to support with identifying the next generation of stars within the age groups of U9-U16, locally for our revered Academy system.

This important role will be responsible for providing key support to our UK Scouting Coordinators in the identification and assessment of youth players (U9 - U16) in domestic games and tournaments across Grassroots football.

Your day-to-day




  • Supporting the Talent ID process with talent identification, attending domestic matches, tournaments, and events to scout potential talents between the ages of 9 to 16 years old.

  • Providing written performance reports from live games.

  • Collaborating with the existing scouting team to ensure comprehensive coverage of talent within the specified age groups.

  • Fostering in-depth knowledge of players within the existing Arsenal Academy age groups.


What we are looking for




  • Proven experience in talent identification and scouting within the age groups of 9 to 16 years old.

  • Minimum level 2 in Talent identification delivered by the FA.

  • A network of contacts within the footballing community at the youth level (Desirable).

  • Familiarity with the Premier League's rules and regulations regarding youth player recruitment is advantageous.

  • Exceptional communication and reporting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to travel extensively to different locations for scouting purposes.
