About the opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity to expand our Casual Disability coaching pool within EitC’s Disability remit.

As a Casual Disability Coach, you will deliver various disability development projects across our partners within the Merseyside area. Our sessions are aided to encourage both disabled children and adults’ high quality and inclusive sessions that are both engaging, fun and interactive.

Our pool of successful candidates will be caring, empathetic and work in an enabling manner to support our participants who access our Disability programmes.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • To liaise with the appropriate staff/partners to deliver fun activity workshops.

  • To develop and implement effective monitoring and evaluation processes to capture data and case studies for reports in line with funding requirements.

  • Deliver social interaction opportunities for sick and disabled children and for children at after schools clubs.

  • Ensure all relevant quality standards and safeguarding requirements are met in all sessions.

  • Understand equality/diversity and social inclusion in the delivery of disability coaching sessions.


Who we are looking for:  We are looking for an individual with a genuine passion to support and an ability to build trust and rapport quickly, enjoying interacting with a wide variety of people on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate patience, empathy and a non-judgemental attitude towards both colleagues and participants.

Other key Knowledge and Skills will include:

  • Ability to plan, deliver, develop and monitor a sport, physical activity and education-based programme.

  • Knowledge of behaviour change models/ strategies to promote better health and wellbeing outcomes

  • Experience of monitoring and evaluating community-based programmes using both quantitative and qualitative methods.

  • A. Level 1 and 2 coaching qualification

  • Be registered with the Enhanced DBS Service or willingness to undertake a full Enhanced DBS check
