About the opportunity: We are currently looking for a number of Casual Development Coaches to join our growing Everton in the Community team.
Football Development was launched in October 2022 with an aim to support, enhance and develop football across Everton in the Community. The team use football as a tool to engage participants through four different elements (
Upskill, Pathways, Opportunity, and Support).As a Casual Development Coach, you will plan and deliver high quality Football coaching sessions following the Football Development 6-week cycle.
The successful candidates will be dynamic, proactive, forward-thinking individuals, team players and have a passion for developing and nurturing talent.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- To support on delivery at the North Liverpool Development Centre.
- To plan, deliver and evaluate sessions meeting Football Development aims and objectives.
- To provide support in improving ability across the Development Centre and support with pathways into the game.
- To provide support in establishing the on-going development of EitC, and take a positive approach to the raising of standards, for all those who participate in the Football Development Centre.
- To promote, adhere to and implement the Everton Family Equality and Diversity Policy and to work consistently to embed equality and diversity.
Who we are looking for: We are looking for individuals with integrity and the ability to inspire commitment, enthusiasm and confidence from participants and the wider community.
With an ability to be creative and innovative in and both planning and delivery, our successful candidate will be able to adapt sessions to ensure al participants are fully engaged.
Other key Knowledge and Skills will include:
- FA Coaching Level 2.
- FA First Aid Training
- Safeguarding
- Experience of planning, delivering, developing and monitoring coaching sessions on football
- Experience of working with and supporting children and young adults during a coaching session
- Experience of working with grassroot teams, schools and in community settings.
This role will be offered on a casual basis, working flexibly as and when required including evenings and weekends to suit the needs of the programme.
This role is mainly field-based working at community venues across the Liverpool City Region. It is therefore required that the successful individual has a Full UK Driving Licence and vehicle access.
