SALARY £61 per home fixture / £123 per away fixture / 1.5x Match Fee for Tournaments & Triangular Fixtures / Hourly rate for clinic cover
WORK FLEXIBILITY This is a casual position which will involve working irregular hours; evenings, weekends and bank holidays for home and away fixtures.
JOB SUMMARY
Swansea City AFC are looking to hire Casual Physiotherapists/ Sports Therapists to assist with the Academy games programme. This will include both home and away fixtures. We are also looking to recruit regional therapists in London, Midlands, and North West (Manchester region).
There will also be opportunities to support in the evening Injury Clinic, assessing injuries and delivering rehabilitation sessions. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to develop professionally within a sports setting.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Applicants must either be a Physiotherapist with full HCPC and CSP membership, a Sports Therapist with full Society of Sports Therapists membership or a Sports Rehab Therapist with full BASRaT membership. Successful applicants must also hold (or be able to attain) one of the following pitch side emergency medical qualifications:
• RFU Pre-Hospital Care in Sport (PHICIS 3)
• FA Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF)
• UEFA recognised Sports Promote Course.
This is a casual part time role within the academy, with the majority of work falling in the evening and on weekends and primarily focusing on cover of the U9-14 age groups.
Successful applicants will be expected to make their own way to local games.
Core Duties
• Diagnosis and treatment of injuries pitch side
• Early injury management advice
• Trauma management
• Communication with Head of Academy Medical & Performance to update on any injuries sustained during games
CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK REQUIREMENT
This role will require an Enhanced DBS Check.
Person Specification
Essential
• BSc Physiotherapy/ Sports Therapy
• Registered with HCPC and CSP or SST/BASRaT.
• FA ITMMiF or equivalent
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
• Willing to travel to games
Desirable
• Previous experience of working in a paediatric sporting environment
