Description

Purpose of the Role: To contribute to the Academy Vision & Strategy through delivery of the football development programme with a nominated age group(s). 

The Role: Ipswich Town Football Club Academy are seeking to recruit Coaches on a casual basis for the 2024-25 season to work with our schoolboy age groups. Roles are available with both Foundation Phase (U9-U12) and Youth Development Phase (U13-U16). 

The role of Academy Coach is a key position in the overall club strategy to develop young footballers capable of playing for Ipswich Town. The role will report to either the Lead Foundation Phase or Lead Youth Development Phase coach and will deliver the Academy coaching and games programme to a nominated age group. 

The core aims of the role are to support the development of individual players through the pathway. 

From £20 per hour. 

About The Candidate 

The Person: 

The ideal candidate for the role will be a development minded coach with previous experience of working with young people. Comfortable ‘on the grass’ the role has a large coaching focus and the ability to connect with and motivate young players is vital. 

There is an element of administration work and report writing attached to the role to ensure all coaching activity is logged. The ability to work evenings and weekends is essential.

FA Emergency First Aid in Football (Essential)
