As a team coach, you will work with (around) 15 students on our innovative Sports Business and Entrepreneurship degree programme. You will act as a team coach for this team of students on our self-managed programme. The students will run their sessions to develop their business ideas whilst you challenge and support these students to reach their full potential. As a team coach, you will be fully supported in using the course assessment structure to guide these students through their journey.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- To team coach for a business degree at the undergraduate level, engaging fully and creatively with our team entrepreneurs (students) in this capacity.
- To provide 1-2-1 coaching for our team entrepreneurs on a timely basis, supporting their venture development
- To undertake module leadership on the Sports Business and Entrepreneurship programme, delivering workshops and marking student portfolios/other reflective assessments.
- To engage with local businesses, social enterprises, and communities to build awareness of and involvement in our team entrepreneurship activities.
- To undertake appropriate continuing personal and professional development, including engagement in team coach development programmes.
- To contribute to the timely review of the Sports Business and Entrepreneurship programme, ensuring its development and growth.
- To engage in reflection and coaching supervision as required by the role.
You will have:
- Education to degree level (or equivalent industry experience).
- Experience in coaching and/or participatory facilitation.
- A sound understanding of and an ability to work creatively and effectively with teams.
- Commitment to personal and academic development
- An ability to set high personal standards and work calmly and effectively in an environment characterised by a high level of ambiguity and complexity.
It would be desirable to have:
- Relevant professional body memberships.
- Education to a master's level.
- Experience in academic assessment or equivalent.
- Experience with a range of students/participants.
