Description

Main Objectives

• Ensure creative direction is implemented within all the creative produced and that it ties into the Club’s brand identity and values.
• Work with the Head of Content and Creative to develop strong creative concepts that maximise the Club’s ability to develop and enhance our brand.
• Work and collaborate with the members of staff across the Club to bring ideas/concepts to life through the application of the creative process.
• Work with senior staff across the business to ensure that the department’s creative request processes are upheld and are continually developed in line with the evolution of the wider business.
• Work with stakeholders, partners, and third-party agencies to ensure the Club’s visual brand identity is followed correctly.
• Think beyond the immediate tasks of the department and propose ways in which the creative approach and standards can be applied to enhance and add value to other areas of the business.
• To have a commitment to ongoing CPD, research and development.

Summary of Duties

• Day-to-day management of the Club’s Brand Department.
• Working with the Creative Planning Executive to ensure creative workload is managed efficiently and fairly across available resource.
• Working with the Club’s partners and third-party providers use the Club’s brand in accordance with our guidelines.
• To work and collaborate with the Club’s Content and Video Production departments to ensure in-house resources are effectively maximised.
• Conduct regular group and individual catch-ups with your team, to ensure proactive communication, collaboration and that the Club’s creative approach remains true to its brand identity and values.
• To ensure the Club’s brand guidelines are continually updated and communicated to relevant staff.
• Give approval of artwork in line with the Club’s creative approvals process.
• Work with colleagues to identify opportunities to support and/or develop the diversity and inclusion within the team and wider Club.

Personal Specification

• Have a minimum three to five years of experience in similar role at an organisation or come from an agency-based background.
• You must have a demonstrable passion for design and creative flair.
• Be willing to immerse yourself in the Club’s values, identity and heritage.
• Your eye for detail must be immaculate and you must have extremely high standards.
• You should have an acute understanding of the latest creative industry trends and innovations.
• You’ll need to articulate your thoughts and ideas to all levels of the business.
• You’ll need to be a communicator and be able to marshal the resources of your team to deliver the creative requirements of the wider business.
• You should have an understanding on how the creative process can help positively shape product ideation and development, in addition to improving the experience of our corporate clients and wider supporter base.
• You must have an in-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign (knowledge of other design applications beneficial but not essential).
• You will need an expert knowledge of technical colour specifications and their usage to physical and digital spaces.
• Knowledge of Monday.com or equivalent project management software will be required.
• You must have the ability to travel independently across Club sites and other locations.
• A willingness to travel domestically and internationally for research and benchmarking tasks will be necessary.
• Be well organised and have the ability to multi-task, often under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Be able to communicate to the highest level, listens, interprets and conveys information in a clear and accurate manner, provides timely delivery of information and selects the most appropriate method of communication.
• Ability to work autonomously on own initiative, pro-active in managing one’s own time, building an understanding of the internal and external environment in order to deliver work in a highly effective and professional manner.
•Possess strong time management skills and have a flexible approach to working hours
• Demonstrate integrity, ambition, relevance, and a desire to be successful in your approach.
• Have a commitment to continual professional development.
• Have excellent IT Skills, with specific knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Additional Requirements

• To be able to work on matchday weekends and evenings, including Public Holidays.
• To comply and promote the Club’s policies and procedures to include Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity and GDPR compliance.
• Understanding of the governance, security and cyber security requirements including areas such as General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
• To undertake required training including mandatory Club Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety and Safeguarding Induction.
