We are excited to be searching for a pool of Casual Lead Goalkeeping Coaches, who will help the Women's England Talent Pathway ‘Unearth, Inspire and Empower' future generations of England Goalkeepers and Goalkeeping coaches.
Our successful candidates will demonstrate excellent leadership at the Future Lionesses Goalkeeping Centre through support and guidance. Also, delivering inspirational technical goalkeeping programmes on and off the pitch.
We are advertising these positions across various areas of the county. As part of your application form, you will be able to specify where you wish to cover if successful:
- Plymouth, Marjon Sports Centre, Plymouth, PL6 8BH - sessions on a Wednesday evening.
- Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam Sports Park, Bawtry Road, Sheffield, S9 1UA - sessions on a Friday evening.
What You'll Do?
- Support and contribute to the planning, delivery, and review of the Goalkeeping technical training programme (both on and off-pitch)
- Plan and deliver progressive goalkeeping sessions, in collaboration with a goalkeeper coaching team, to develop the core skills of Future Lioness Goalkeepers .
- Ensure all session planning and administration tasks are completed weekly and stored accordingly .
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with players, parents, coaching staff, and key stakeholders (such as FA Talent Technical Coaches and Club Coaches)
- Develop and uphold strong communication channels with Coach Development Officers, FA Goalkeeping Pathway Lead and FA staff.
- Have an awareness of the Future Lionesses' goalkeeping characteristics, the Discover My Talent programme and understand current Talent Pathway benchmarks.
- Monitor, track and support high-potential goalkeepers within the region and refer them appropriately.
- Support the identification, information transfer and development journey of high-performing goalkeepers.
- Contribute to the individual player development review process for all goalkeepers within the Future Lionesses Goalkeeping Centre by providing regular feedback and action planning.
- Ensure equipment logistics are complete before each weekly session.
- Attend the Coach Development Programme of Future Lionesses Goalkeeping Centres.
What You'll Need?Essential for the role:
- Ability to build positive working relationships.
- Ability to present information to support player development work.
- Minimum FA Level 2 in Coaching Goalkeepers / National Goalkeeping Certificate.
- Minimum FA Level 2 / UEFA C.
- FA Emergency First Aid in Football (in-date)
- FA Safeguarding Children (in-date)
- Willingness to undertake an FA Enhanced DBS Check.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Beneficial to also have:
- UEFA B.
- UEFA B / A Goalkeeping Licence.
- Level 2 EFAiF.
- A detailed knowledge of the women's game.
