A leading Football Association is currently seeking a highly experienced and suitably qualified Assistant Coach to join its dynamic technical team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional with a strong background in football coaching to contribute to the ongoing development and success of the national team programme. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of working at an elite level, demonstrating both tactical expertise and the ability to support and implement the head coach’s strategic vision. This role requires a deep understanding of high-performance environments, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering player development on and off the pitch.
Knowledge:
- Has good knowledge of the field.
- Has good information about the national team's history.
- Has a good relationship with the staff and players.
- Has knowledge of the stages of player growth and development.
Experience:
- Former player in the field.
- At least 5 years of experience managing a team in the 17-19 age group.
Duties and Duties:
- Working within the team.
- Preparing training sessions in coordination with the team coach.
- Preparing players for training sessions (warm-ups and recovery), individual drills, basic physical preparation skills, injury prevention programs, and set-piece coaching experience.
- Understanding the content and objectives of the training session and assisting the coach during training sessions.
- Match administrative tasks (registering player rosters for matches).
- Preparing technical reports.
- Player evaluation.
- Match and training analysis.
- Ensuring player development.
- Creating match situations.
- Using effective training.
- Using the latest technologies in training and analysis. Requirements and Conditions:
- Hold a coaching license approved by the Asian or European Federations, appropriate for the age group they work in.
- Hold academic and technical qualifications related to the technical field of the game. Analysis and presentation to players as requested by the coach, including filming.
Qualifications and Experience
- UEFA A License (minimum)
- Valid First Aid certification
- Current Safeguarding/Child Protection certification
Additional InformationThis is a full-time position based at the Football Association's training facilities. The role will require regular travel for international matches and tournaments.
