The Role of Assistant 1st Team Performance Analyst (Data)The successful candidate will assist and support the day-to-day functioning of the 1
st Team Analysis Department, working alongside the analysts of the Club. They will help contribute to all areas of analysis with an increased importance of their role revolving around data.
Main Accountabilities
- Producing Brentford Football Club, and opposition, reports
- Building, maintaining & improving databases
- Conducting opposition analysis
- Individual Analysis
- Any other 1st Team related tasks as required
- Supporting Academy staff when necessary
- Any ad-hoc tasks as requested by your Line Manager
- To ensure that any concerns you observe, or are raised with you in your role, are shared with the Safeguarding Team through appropriate channels.

Person Specification - Essential Personal Characteristics
- High proficiency using Tableau and Excel
- Experience using Analysis software’s (Angles, WyScout, Second Spectrum, Opta or similar)
- Experience working in elite level performance analysis / football
- Highly analytical and high level of attention to detail
Be creative with data visualisations
- Be a problem solver – work out what we need from you
- Willingness to work ‘on the job’
- A hardworking, enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills
- Effective at preparing, planning and implementing workloads
Ability to work unsociable hours as required involving work outside normal office hours, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

- Masters in an analytical discipline
- Experience with coding languages (SQL, R, Python)
