Description

We are looking for a passionate Arsenal Community Football Coach to join us on a casual contract.

You will play a key role in the delivery of the Arsenal in the Community Football Plus programme. The programme provides weekly training sessions and fixtures for children aged 6-16 in a child-centred positive environment that gives them a positive first (and continued) experience of the game.

Who we are

Beyond that, we are passionate about our local community and, behind the scenes, we have a wide variety of opportunities and career paths for all. We have a very defined purpose: to act for a winning team, culture and community. We achieve this by ensuring we are courageous in the pursuit of progress, we champion our community and each other, and that we do the right thing (even when no one is looking).

Your day-to-day

    • Inspire and Educate - you will deliver high quality coaching sessions to children of varying abilities, ages and backgrounds that help them to fall in love with the game. You will support players' individual development and understanding of how to be a part of an effective team

    • Engage and Collaborate - you'll build and support positive working relationships with players, parents and other grassroots clubs

    • Support and Develop - you will oversee and mentor trainee coaches delivering on the programme to help them develop their skills and confidence to deliver high quality football sessions

    • Data Collection and Administration - you will complete tasks related to the sessions such as updating registers, consent forms or risk assessments

    • Deliver child-friendly competition - you'll manage a team and/or venue on match-days ensuring a positive experience for all

What we are looking for

  • Experience in a similar coaching role - you have an FA Level 2 Award in Coaching Football/UEFA C Licence and a valid, up to date certification(s) in first aid and safeguarding children

  • Strong leadership skills - you have excellent inter-personal skills with a positive, engaging and confident demeanour

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills - you're committed to high quality delivery and service so enjoy working to deadlines and have a flexible approach

  • Dynamic communicator - you're able to communicate clearly across a highly diverse range of audiences and contexts, adapting your style, tone and approach as needed

  • Passion for community - you are self-driven and motivated with the desire to make a real difference to people's lives within the local community

  • Trusted ambassador for our club - you recognise your responsibility as a representative of our club and maintain exceptional standards of professional behaviour towards colleagues, our community participants and the wider public
