About this role:Crystal Palace Football Club are looking for an experience Scout to join our Scouting department to monitor and identify players in the South West area. The ideal applicant will be based around the Gloucester/Worcester area and can travel the South West area of the country.
Responsibilities:
- Flexible and committed to work unsocial hours, weekend, and evenings.
- Flexible to work a minimum of up to four games per week. ( Combination of live & video reporting )
- Identify, recommend, and monitor potential recruitment targets for the age range outlined by the academy.
- Develop an expertise and knowledge of all academy players within your designated area
- Utilise modern scouting methods with regards to reporting, recording, and tracking potential player targets.
- Build relationships within the local community and within our catchment area and represent the club in a professional and honest manner.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
- Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience of Scouting Professional football Academies ( Essential )
- Knowledge and experience of scouting professional football academies participating in the South West Category 3 games programme. (Desirable)
- Southwest based (Essential)
- FA Level 2 In Talent ID (Desirable)
- FA Level 1 in Talent ID (Essential)
- Must Hold Valid Driving License (Essential)
- Flexible and willing to travel (essential)
- IT Competent (Essential)
- Must be up to date with relevant child protection guidelines and hold relevant certificates (Essential)
- Experience managing a group of people (desirable)
- Knowledge of Local Catchment Area (Essential)
- Able to work to a deadline
- Organised and a good manager of time
