Academy Manager

Hours: Full time

What will you be doing?

The role will involve taking responsibility for the leadership, strategy, and operational excellence of the club’s Academy programme which is designed to develop talented young players and staff.  You will manage the long-term retention of high potential players through strategic and squad planning as well as targeted recruitment. In addition to this, you will manage and support the development of the Head of Academy Recruitment, Head of Academy Operations, Academy Secretary, and the Education and Lifelong Learning Manager.

In this role, you also will handle the Academy budget to ensure a substantial financial return is made as well as producing monthly reports outlining the progress of KPI’s relating to the Academy Strategy and football business objectives. You will also be expected to represent the Academy at key leadership and stakeholder events and act as the main point of contact between the Academy and relevant governing bodies such as the Premier League Youth Development and FIFA regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to build strong professional relationships with individuals and departments.

Essential experience

  • Leadership experience within academy or relevant environment.

  • Experience within academy or international youth programme.


Desirable Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree sports management, sports science or a relatable field.
