About The Role
Leicester City Football Club Academy are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Lead Sports Scientist to define and drive a leading-edge, world class sports science provision through a youth physical development model (YPDM) for all academy players (U9s-U23s) to ensure LCFC academy players are first team ready.
Based at Leicester City Football Club’s new world-class Training Ground, this role will work in collaboration with all Academy departments, with the main purpose being to develop and drive the sports science agenda, ensure the team are aligned with the department’s Key Performance Indicators, and influence, support, and educate key stakeholders in the role of sports science in player development.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have attained a master’s degree in Sports Science (or equivalent / similar discipline), a minimum of 5 years of experience within an elite-performance environment and have a proven track record of managing and developing a team.
It will be essential that the successful candidate has high level communication skills, have the ability to work autonomously and under their own initiative, and thrive in a high-pressure and dynamic environment.
