Job Title: Academy Age-Group Coach
Location: Poolfoot Farm Training Complex
Hours: 3 nights per week and weekends (In line with age group requirements)

Fleetwood Town FC have an exciting vacancy for part-time Academy coaches to work within our Category 2 Academy.
Main Role: To deliver high-quality coaching sessions and matchdays for an age group within the schoolboy programme (U9 – U16) in line with the Academy’s coaching philosophy and EPPP. This Lead Phases and the Academy Head of Coaching in ensuring the planning, delivery and review process of players is being adhered to.
Role and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- As an age group coach, you will be expected to manage the age group allocated in accordance with the FTFC Academy directive.
- Responsible for the health, safety and well-being of the group.
- Communicate with your co-coach to ensure the planning, delivery and reviewing of players is of academy standard.
- To accurately follow the Academy coaching programme and age specific coaching syllabus. .
- Plan, record and deliver coaching sessions that follow the club philosophy and deliver the coaching syllabus for your respective age group.
- To record all sessions and games accordingly on the Football IP platform to maintain accurate player performance clock information.
- To set and monitor individual learning plans for players within the age group.
- Ensure multidisciplinary communication is maintained for the benefit of your players.
- To review all your age group every 12 weeks by attending the player/parent meetings in line with EPPP guidelines.
- To contribute to the recruitment process at the Academy and provide feedback as and when required.
- To be responsible for your age group on match day, including to plan, observe and provide feedback regarding individual player performances on the FIP platform.
- To attend all Academy meetings where applicable and undertake appropriate CPD as per EFL and club rules.
- To complete any other duties as deemed reasonable by the Head of Coaching and Lead Phase.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- UEFA B Licence (Minimum requirement)
- Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAIF)
- FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
- Experience working with players aged 9-16 within a coaching environment.
- Passionate about player development.
- Committed to your own personal development.
- Progressive approach to coaching and learning.
- Work effectively to deliver individual, small and large group sessions.
- Flexible and reliable across the week including weekends and evenings.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- FA Youth Award
- Experience working within a Category 2 or 3 academy
- Familiar with the use of HUDL
- Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
