As a Performance Chef you will facilitate effective food production, utilise healthy cooking techniques in line with our overall goal of improving player health, performance, and recovery. Reporting into our Sous Chef, you will provide a professional, friendly and efficient service at CFA or off-site to all stakeholders, whilst ensuring health and safety and food hygiene standards are maintained. All whilst managing your area to ensure the kitchen and equipment is serviceable.

Your Impact

  1. Prepare and present food in line with nutrition requirements as laid down by the First Team Head Chef and Nutritionist.

  2. Complete relevant kitchen paperwork, including Allergen logging of the daily menu items and undertaking risk assessments in line with our Health and Safety/Food Safety/ Food.

  3. Controlling and ordering food and service items to ensure optimum stock levels, ordering specialist products for CFA use and for off-site travel.

  4. Travel domestically and internationally for extended periods providing team standard service.

  5. Identify opportunities for self-improvement in any food preparation techniques, processes, and ways of working.


What we are looking for

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Chef de partie or similar

  • Experience within a hospitality environment

  • Experience in dealing with suppliers

  • Ability to react to changes and diverse situations

  • Impeccable food presentation and creativity skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team

  • Hold a current health safety and food hygiene qualification.


Desirable

  • Experience in an elite sports environment.

  • HACCP & Food Safety Level

  • Previous experience of working with a nutritionist.
