Description

You will assist the First Team Management Team and Players in all aspects of the First Team training and match kit ensuring that all training, travel and match-day kit is correctly ordered, prepared, printed, distributed and laundered to meet Bromley Football Club standards and Club and Players’ needs.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  1. Work closely with the First Team to ensure that the correct kit is available for all First Team Players and staff daily.

  2. Ensure that all numbers are correctly ordered and printed on the playing kit for match and training kits for Players and staff, liaising with team branded sponsor as appropriate.

  3. Order, sort and distribute all training, travel and playing kit for Players and Staff so that everyone has the correct kit for each event / fixture / training session.

  4. Ensure all kit is returned to the Kit room/Laundry following every session and ensure you are aware of the full First Team weekly training schedule and all fixtures and keep them up to date with changes promptly.

  5. Assist with ordering training, travel and match kits for players & staff for top up re-orders and the next season within club budget.

  6. Ensure all training and playing equipment is ready and available for every session, such as footballs set at the correct pressure, bibs, cones, poles and mannequins etc.

  7. Supply correct equipment at the training field / pitch for warm-ups, matches and training sessions for Coaching staff to set up.

  8. Liaise with medical staff if any injured players are training on scheduled days off and with Coaching staff if any players are scheduled to train on scheduled days off.

  9. Order all footballs for the new season; re-orders during the season and liaise with Coaching staff to order any training accessories and equipment needed for this and the new season.

  10. Be present on the training field for all scheduled First Team training sessions assisting Management with collecting in the training kit (bibs, cones etc), returning balls to Coaches when they go out of play and moving goals as instructed by Coaching staff.

  11. Be available in the First Team training for all Players and Coaches to respond to general queries and troubleshooting any problems that may arise.

  12. Tidy the dressing rooms, i.e. pick up any dirty kit and laundry ready to be washed and then provide clean kit to be placed out for the following day’s sessions.


Skills and Knowledge:

  1. Prior experience assisting kit and equipment provision for a large sporting institution preferably within football.

  2. Knowledge and experience of all duties involved in a role of this nature.

  3. Excellent attention to detail and be very well organised and punctual

  4. Good communication skills at all levels and be computer literate.

  5. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; remain calm under pressure and be comfortable working to tight deadlines.

  6. The need to maintain absolute discretion in all aspects of the role.


Kit and Equipment (1 st Team with some u23’s duties)

  • You will be required to work on all HOME and AWAY First Team match days, which will necessitate a flexible approach and attitude to working hours, as this will involve early mornings and late nights, as well as schedule changes at short notice.

  • It is expected that you will be required to travel to First Team Away fixtures, this will be beneficial for training and development purposes.

  • You may be required to support injured players/ those not in the squad who will have training sessions whilst the First Team is off.

  • There will be home fixture duties for u23s as and when directed by specific line manager

  • A full UK driving license is essential as you will be required to drive the dedicated Club vehicle.

  • Experience with minibus driving and suitable license is desirable but essential
