How is Coronavirus Affecting Football in China
The Coronavirus is effecting football over the world with the FA ready to put matches on hold if they need to but how is Coronavirus affecting football in China.
The 2020 Chinese Super League season was due to start on the 22nd of February but it has now been postponed indefinitely by the Chinese Football Association along with state authorities.
Both the Chinese Super Cup and AFC Champions League have been postponed.
Any AFC Champions League matches involving clubs from China will be re-scheduled for April and May 2020.
In addition to professional football, there has also been an impact on amateur football that has seen many foreign coaches told to return home from China.
National Team
On February 24, the Chinese Football Association announced that in order to prepare for the competition in the preliminary stage (top 40) of the 2022 Qatar world cup Asian preliminary, the Chinese national men’s football team is scheduled to go to the United Arab Emirates and Thailand to organize training and participate in the preliminary stage of the World Cup Asian preliminary after the research of the coaching group of the National Men’s football team and the approval of the China Football Association Matter.

Transfer window
