Salisbury FC welcome back 19-year-old Devon Arnold after Premier League and EFL experience

Southern Premier League South side Salisbury FC have announced the signing of 19-year-old attacker Devon Arnold.

Arnold previously played for Salisbury at U12 and U13 level, before he left to join the Elite Training Centre in Southampton. From there, he joined Yeovil Town’s academy in 2016.

Arnold progressed through to senior level with Yeovil, making his League Two debut and becoming the club’s youngest ever player aged 17 years and 38 days, when he came on as a late substitute in a 4-1 defeat to Cheltenham Town.

He was sent out on loan to Dorchester Town in the 2019/20 season, and then was released by Yeovil at the end of the season when his youth scholarship expired.

Arnold is described a ‘great young prospect for the future’ and is a player with great pace, someone who works works hard and is lethal in front of goal.

He joins after trials with Chelsea, Stoke City, Peterborough United and Manchester United over the last couple of years.
